Hi There, I have been messing about with the neo geo Bios trying to get my emu to work but no luck. I can get the Rage2x screen up with all of the games listed in red but any roms that I stick into the roms folder don''t come up. I have tried different roms but no luck. Do I have to use Neo Geo CD roms or pocket? not sure what I am doing wrong but it is very frustrating!!!

It will still show a bunch of missing games in red (unless you have every title) ... what you want to look for is any titles appearing in green to indicate which roms you have. Make sure that the games are in .zip format and placed in the roms folder. You can also set emulator options to ONLY display the available games on the main screen (thereby hiding the red titles). This is explain in detail in my GnGeo Tutorial. Hope this helps!

This is going well for me so far. Staggering to think that Neo Geo systems used to cost hundreds of dollars and the games were untouchable in terms of graphics, sound, etc... And now they're playable in a portable device LOL. If anyone needs pointers about getting these to run just email me.

Neo Geo emulation can be tempermental. You not only need the right emulator, but also the proper versions of roms and the proper versions of the neogeo.zip BIOS. It's a matter of checking out enough of the roms sites and experimenting with the BIOS and roms versions. I got it working but had to check a few different roms sites first. Well worth the effort !

Hmmm that's so weird - from what you've described to me it sounds like you're doing the right thing. Just to make sure ... 1. Within the SD card do you have a subfolder for the Neo Geo emu and roms (let's call it "NeoGeo" in this example) ? 2. Within the NeoGeo subfolder you have an additional subfolder called "roms" (all lowercase) ? 3. Within the \NeoGeo\roms subfolder have you unzipped the neogeo BIOS .zip file so that all the individual bios files from the archive are in there ? I really would not mind sending you the exact directory structure which I have (bios included), but I am not allowed to do that legally. I can only "point" you in the right direction. It sounds like you're going to all the right places for the bios files. Here are the BIOS files which I have in the \NeoGeo\roms subfolder: 000-lo.lo 000-lo.rom asia-s3.rom NEO-GEO.ROM ng-lo.rom ng-sfix.rom ng-sm1.rom sfix.sfx sm1.sm1 sp1.jipan.1024 sp-e.sp1 sp-j2.rom sp-s2.sp1 sp-s.sp1 usa_2slt.bin vs-bios.rom I believe that all of the above came with the BIOS - one or more may have been auto-generated by the emulator, but I doubt it. I hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have any luck. On the topic of Amiga, I was thinking of trying it out. I never played it when I was younger, but some of the games look pretty cool. What would you say are some of the best games to try for it ?
