Pandora Handheld SD Card Content

I have received several requests for the SD Card structure which I implemented in my Pandora system. Subsequently, I have decided to offer it for download from this site, much like I did for my Wiz SD card content. Please remember that it only contains the emulators and subdirectory structure, so you will need to provide your own ROM and BIOS files (and ensure that you have the legal right to do so).

SD Card structure:
At the root of the SD card there is a "pandora" directory. Within it exists:

appdata
This is where data / rom files for the various emulators go. Subdirectories exist for each emulator, so simply go into them and find their corresponding rom folders. In some cases there is a file at the top of the correct folder stating "!zipped roms go in this dir.txt". For emulators inside the GP2X system, go within the appdata\ginge directory, and there will be additional subfolders for the programs "Arcade CPS", etc where the corresponding rom subfolders exist in ( example: appdata\ginge\Arcade CPS\roms\ ). Please note, however, that the Pandora is highly customizable and in many cases you can structure the subdirectories in a different way for where you want all of your roms to go. I believe there are only a few emulators with a hard coded path.

apps
Place Pandora application files (.PND files) along with their corresponding shortcut descriptors (.OVR files) inside this directory if you want a shortcut icon to the application to exist both inside the start menu and on the destop of the Pandora. (applies to XFCE4 desktop environment)

desktop
Place Pandora application files (.PND files) along with their corresponding shortcut descriptors (.OVR files) inside this directory if you want a shortcut icon to the application to exist only on the destop of the Pandora. (applies to XFCE4 desktop environment)

menu
Place Pandora application files (.PND files) along with their corresponding shortcut descriptors (.OVR files) inside this directory if you want a shortcut icon to the application to exist only inside the start menu of the Pandora. This is where I currently have the programs by default, but you can certainly move them to the desktop or apps folders if you prefer it. (applies to XFCE4 desktop environment)

mmenu
Place Pandora application files (.PND files) along with their corresponding shortcut descriptors (.OVR files) inside this directory if you want a shortcut icon to the application to exist only inside the Mini Menu interface.

When locating rom files from certain emulators:
The paths are not always hard-coded, so the emulator asks you to manually locate the desired rom(s). The folder which corresponds to the root of the sd card in the list is called mmcblk0p1. Then you simply go into the pandora\appdata subfolder from there. So for example: mmcblk0p1\pandora\appdata\pcsx_rearmed\roms

When loading certain emulators (such as N64 or PSX):

I have some of the shortcuts (OVR files) configured to run the emulator at 800 Mhz (overclocked), so a warning will pop up asking if you want to continue. Simply choose OK to continue.

appdata subfolders on the SD card + what they represent:

Emulator BIOS files: The following emulators require a BIOS in order to work. Please do not ask me for these files, as you will need to obtain them from the internet. Also, there are a number of versions of each BIOS floating out there. Oftentimes the emulators require a specific version, so dont give up just keep trying different files until you get a working one.

gngeo: Neo Geo BIOS neogeo.zip needs to be extracted to pandora\appdata\gngeo. Some files within the zip archive include 000-lo.lo, asia-s3.rom, neo-geo.rom, ng-lo.rom, ng-sfix.rom, ng-sm1.rom, sfix.sfix, sm1.sm1, sp1.jipan.1024, etc.

mame4all: MAME4ALL - To play NeoGeo roms using MAME, the BIOS neogeo.zip needs to be placed inside pandora\appdata\mame4all\roms. There may be other bios files required for certain other roms as well.

pcsx_rearmed: Sony Playstation (PSX) needs the BIOS file scph1001.bin to be placed inside pandora\appdata\pcsx_rearmed\bios.

picodrive: To play Sega MasterSystem games you will need to place the BIOS file US-European SMS BIOS V2.4 (Hang On & Safari Hunt) (UE) [!].sms (or an equivalent BIOS for another region) inside pandora\appdata\picodrive\roms\Master System

picodrive: To play Sega CD games you will need to place BIOS files such as eu_mcd2_9306.bin or us_scd2_9306.bin or SegaCD BIOS V2.00 (U).bin inside pandora\appdata\picodrive

uae4all: Amiga requires KICK.ROM inside pandora\appdata\uae4all
